Description

This building is a barn located 30 yards southeast of Stanton Farmhouse, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It consists of two timber-framed barns, each with four bays, that meet at right angles. The older section features a Queen post design with inward-curving struts, while the later section has straight struts. The barns are covered with tile roofing that is half-hipped at the ends, and there is a wagon entrance in the northern bay. The older part has a gable with exposed framing, which is filled with painted brickwork, while most of the walling is boarded. The barn has been modernized to serve as stables.
