Description
Exmouth House, located at No. 6 Exyouth Place, dates from around 1810. The building is finished in stucco and features a parapet and a slate roof. It is two storeys high and five windows wide. The ground floor has sash windows without glazing bars, while the centre of the first floor boasts a trellis balcony with a tent-shaped hood, sun-burst spandrels, and an iron-railed front with intersecting arches. The central doorway is round-arched, complete with a keyblock and impost, and has a glazed door. At the front, there are steps leading to a terraced garden area, which is adorned with attractive contemporary railings featuring pineapple finials and turned newels. Exmouth House is part of a group with No. 5.
