Description
Milestone located at Spencers Wood, dating from the early 19th century. This stone monolith has a semi-circular plan with a splayed top. It is inscribed in faint and non-uniform letters with the names: Basingstoke, Reading, and Southampton. This milestone is part of a series of similar milestones that run between Reading and Basingstoke and is listed for its group value.
