Description

Highway Cottage is a small house dating from the 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick and features an old tile gabled roof. The building stands two storeys tall and has flanking chimneys. The front of the house includes a first-floor string course and boxed eaves. There are two bays with 5-light wood casement windows, along with a central door that has a flat board hood above it. At the rear, there is a 20th-century extension. Historically, the cottage was once a public house known as The George and Dragon.
