Description

This milestone, located at the north-west corner of the Post Office on Broad Street in Wokingham, dates from the late 18th century. It is a square stone set diagonally and features a small plinth. The east face of the stone has incised Roman lettering that reads "To Reading 7," while the west face reads "To London 32." The milestone was erected after the construction of the Windsor Forest Turnpike in the 18th century.
