Description
Shepherds Cottage is a cottage that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century and was altered and extended in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features an old tile hipped roof. It has a rectangular plan with a large extension at the rear and a smaller one on the left side. The cottage is one and two storeys high, with a tall chimney that has an offset head located on the rear end wall.
The entrance front has oversailing eaves and is symmetrical, consisting of two bays. It features 3-light 18th-century casements with glazing bars, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. There is a plain central entrance door that is sheltered by a small flat hood supported by brackets. To the left, there is a single-storey hipped roof extension that includes a 3-light 20th-century casement that matches the original style.
