Description
The barn at Hyde Farm is an early 16th-century structure featuring a timber frame and a brick plinth, with weatherboarding. It has a gabled roof that is partly thatched and partly covered with old tiles. The barn has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with a midstrey and later aisles added on the southeast side. A clock is positioned in the gable of the midstrey, with a weathervane above at the apex. Inside, the barn showcases queen post roof trusses, clasped purlins, and curved wind and knee braces, along with jowled posts.
