Description

The Barn and The Dairy House are a late 16th-century barn, now converted into two houses. They are located in Bisham Grange, on Temple Lane. The barn’s original construction was timber-framed with walls of chalk, stone, flint, and brick, and it has an old tile gable roof. The rectangular plan consists of four framed bays, including an aisle and a former midstrey on the southwest side. The entrance front features three 20th-century double-height dormer windows with semicircular heads. A pair of plain entrance doors are set within an arched, recessed porch situated between the first and second windows. The interior retains much of the original timber frame, with large windbraces and jowled posts clearly visible. The building was altered in the late 20th century.
