Description
Tithe Barn Cottage is a small house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the mid to late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick, with part of it being tile-hung, and features an old tile hipped roof of varying heights. It has an irregular plan and consists of one and two storeys, with a chimney located on the ridge.
The entrance front displays irregular fenestration. The central projecting section is tile-hung and has a 2-light casement window with glazing bars on the oversailing first floor, along with a single-pane centre-pivoted window on the ground floor. The left-hand section features dentilled eaves, consists of two bays, and has leaded casements on the first floor, with single-pane windows on the ground floor and a glazed garden door positioned between them. The right-hand section has one bay with a glazed entrance door. Adjoining Tithe Barn, which is listed separately, is a one-storey range with two single-pane windows. Tithe Barn Cottage is included for its group value with the adjacent Tithe Barn.
