Description

Wexford Cottage is a small house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of pale red brick laid in a stretcher bond pattern, with a thatched roof and brick chimneys positioned between the left bays and to the right. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The upper floor has three-light wooden casement windows, while the ground floor has a three-light casement window in the centre, a single wooden light to the left, and a 20th-century wooden window to the right. A narrow wooden door is located on the left, and a 20th-century door sits between the right bays, both with lean-to porches covered with slate roofs. A pent roof made of corrugated iron and plastic sits between the porches. A small 19th-century extension with a monopitch roof projects to the right. The rear of the house is a blank wall facing the churchyard. Inside, original 18th-century stop-chamfered spine beams are visible.
