Rose Tree Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame that is exposed on the rear wall, with brick infill, while the rest of the structure is covered in red brick. It has an old tile roof with a central chimney and an offset stack on the left-hand gable. The cottage consists of three bays, with the right-hand bay being a later addition. It is one storey and has an attic, with a floorband on the left-hand bays. The entrance is marked by a small open gabled porch. The ground floor includes two three-light casement windows and one one-light casement window, with three gabled dormers above.
