Description

This small barn, dating from the 17th century, is located in front of Old Zac's Cottage in Chartridge. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth and is weatherboarded with an old tiled roof that is nipped on the left side. The barn has a cart door in the center. Inside, there are three bays with heavy jowled posts and curved braces that support large tiebeams, which in turn carry raking queenposts. The roof is constructed with curved windbraces and coupled rafters.
