Description
Pound Cottage is a small house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick featuring vitreous headers and has a tiled gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a small gabled extension at the rear and stands two storeys tall. A chimney with clay pots is located on the rear roof slope, and the gable ends reveal visible queen post roof truss framing. The eaves are dentilled and offset.
On the road front, there are 20th-century three-light leaded casement windows, with the ground floor windows featuring segmental brick arches. To the left, there is a six-panelled entrance door, with the top panels glazed, situated under a 20th-century gabled porch supported by oak posts and low brick walls.
