Description

Englefield House is a late 18th-century house, with alterations and extensions added in the 20th century. It is located on Poundfield Lane in Cookham, near Cookham Rise End, and sits behind the former Pound. The house is constructed of brick with a hipped slate roof and features a parapet with stone coping. The south front is symmetrical, with three bays. It has sash windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century six-panel entrance door is centrally located, accompanied by a semicircular fanlight featuring tracery, within a moulded wooden doorcase. An ornate ironwork semicircular porch enhances the entrance.
