Part of the building is timber frame, now encased in painted brick, while the remainder is painted brick. It has a gabled old tile roof and an irregular plan with two gables facing the road. The cottage is two storeys high, with a tall chimney on the rear roof slope featuring clay pots, and a central chimney. It contains irregular 19th- and 20th-century casement windows, some with leaded lights, and a plain entrance door on the south west front.
