Description
Windy Ridge is a cottage that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered and extended in the 19th and late 20th centuries. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features an old tile hipped roof. Originally, it had a two-cell rectangular plan, with an extension added to the right and further extensions at the rear.
The exterior consists of one and a half storeys, with two chimneys topped with clay pots; one chimney has a corniced head and is located on the rear wall of the original structure, while a 20th-century chimney is found on the end rear gable of the extension. The southeast entrance front is symmetrical, featuring two bays with 20th-century casement windows. The ground floor windows are set under segmental brick arches. There are also two gabled dormers that break the eaves, and a 20th-century gabled entrance porch with a plain 20th-century door. The interior has not been inspected.
