Description

The barn at Sutton Court Farm is a small structure dating from around 1700. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with some brick infill, and features an old tiled gabled roof that is hipped over the wagon entry. The barn has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with a wagon entry and a later aisle added over one bay on the western side. Inside, there is a queen post roof with clasped purlins and constant principal rafters. Carpenter's marks can be seen on the trusses, arranged in the correct sequence.
