Description
Turpin Lodge is a house dating from the late 16th century, with extensions from the 17th century and alterations and further extensions in the 20th century. It is built of brick and has an old tile hipped roof. The building has an almost square plan and features a large bay window from the 20th century on the west side. It stands two storeys high with a cellar and has two ridge chimneys topped with clay pots. On the west gable, there are remnants of timber framing, along with a leaded pane casement window and a relieving arch. The south front has three casement windows on the first floor, which include glazing bars, with the centre window being a two-light and the outer ones being three-light. The ground floor also features similar three-light casements, along with a 20th-century enclosed entrance porch in the centre that has a plain door, leaded glazing, and a rectangular overlight.
