Description
Hatch Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century but rebuilt in the 18th century and altered in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of brick with vitreous headers and part rendered, featuring old tile gabled roofs. The building has a rectangular plan with two gabled 17th-century projections at the rear and stands two storeys tall. A central chimney is located on the ridge. The front has three bays with a moulded brick plinth, string course, and eaves cornice. There are sash windows with glazing bars set in architrave frames, topped with segmental brick arches. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a 19th-century gabled wooden porch. Inside, there is an 18th-century staircase with turned balusters and a mahogany handrail.
