Description
Firs Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century, but it was mostly rebuilt in the mid-18th century, with early 19th-century and late 20th-century alterations. The building features brick construction on a stone plinth with a slate roof and gable-end stacks. The rear has a timber frame on a lias plinth, with brick infill and a tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a dentilled brick cornice. The front has three windows, which are boxed glazing bar sashes set under rubbed brick heads. The second floor has 6-pane sashes under timber lintels, likely added in the early 19th century. The central entrance is highlighted by an open-pedimented wooden doorcase, a fanlight, and a six-panelled door. At the rear, there is a single framed bay with three square panels high.
