Description
The Sett is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill set on a lias stone plinth, topped by a thatched roof. The building has one framed bay that runs east to west and includes a large external stack on the west gable made of lias, which has a detached brick shaft. The house is one storey high with an attic that is illuminated by an eyebrow dormer. There are two windows, which are 2-light casements from the 19th century. The entrance is located at the rear in a 20th-century extension. The framing consists of four square panels high, and the west gable has three collars with multiple struts.
