Description

The Butts is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick and has a tile roof. The building consists of two bays aligned north to south, featuring gable-end stacks, and includes a one-bay lower addition to the north.

The west front has two storeys and three windows. The original window openings contain mid-19th century tripartite plate glass sashes, which flank a small window with a two-centred head. To the left, the lower range features a 20th-century two-light casement. On the ground floor, two tripartite sashes sit under rubbed brick heads, flanking the central entrance that is topped by a mid-19th century gabled porch with trellised sides. The lower range to the left also has a three-light casement under a segmental head.
