Description
Pumphouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof with end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, characterized by a dentilled eaves cornice. The facade consists of three plus one bays, with windows that have cambered heads. The three-bay section includes two large 3-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors, while the central first-floor entrance features a 6-panelled door and a transom light with a central glazing bar. The single-bay section to the right has a large 3-light casement window on both floors and a ledged and battened door to the left. There are attic lights in the gable ends. Although the interior has not been inspected, a 19th-century single-storey addition is attached to the right gable end. This addition has two bays, a ledged and battened door with a cambered head on the left side of its front elevation, and an external chimney at its gable end.
