Description
Plaitford Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and an extension added in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and topped with an old plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and features a narrow 17th-century structure. At the rear, there is a central projecting stair wing and an outshot, with a two-bay 20th-century addition to the left, which includes a wing behind it.
The front of the farmhouse has a plinth and a 19th-century gabled open porch made of timber, with brick side walls and a gable. To the left, there is a two-light casement window set under a segmental arch. To the right, in pairs of bays, there are two 19th-century three-light casements. A raised brick band runs along the first floor. On this floor, there are four 19th-century two-light casements, although the door bay and the central right bay have bricked-up openings. The farmhouse has external end stacks, and the 20th-century addition features a bay window with French doors and casements above.
