Description

No. 22 High Street is a house with a shop, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dark red brick with early fine pointing, though the roofing material is not visible. The building has three and a half storeys and features a two-window range. There is a parapet with a string course. The first and second floors have two-pane plate glass hornless sash windows, while the upper half-storey has six-pane windows, all set under flat rubbed brick arches. The shop front, which dates from around 1900, retains only the decorated console brackets, with the rest being late 20th century. The rear windows are all from the 20th century.
