Description
The Citizens' Advice Bureau wing, located to the southeast of the Guildhall in Rochester, is a former house that has been used as offices and a Citizens' Advice Bureau. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of gault brick with red brick dressings, topped by a hipped roof covered in Kent tiles. The building stands three storeys high.
The front facade features a symmetrical arrangement of two windows. It has a parapet with stone coping and a moulded brick cornice. The upper floors contain twelve-pane horned sash windows set in revealed frames, which are positioned under rubbed brick window arches. On the ground floor, there is an early 20th-century tripartite sash window beneath a moulded cornice. The left side of the building also has a two-window range with similar details, including a ground floor plate glass sash window and a doorway that features a cornice and deep reveals, along with a panelled door.
The interior has not been inspected.
