Description
25 Victoria Street is a house with shops that was formerly a public house. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is constructed of brick, with the front painted above and stuccoed at the ground floor, topped with a Welsh slate roof.
The front features a symmetrical three-window arrangement with a coped parapet. The outer windows on the upper floors have 12 and 16-pane sashes set in reveals beneath flat arches. The center windows are under elliptical arches; the first-floor window is blank, while the second floor has a 9-pane sash.
On the ground floor, there is a small dentil cornice and a string course above three doorways and two windows, which are connected by a continuous hood mould. The round-headed doorways have deep reveals and half-glazed doors with fanlights above. The windows are under elliptical arches and feature renewed casements with glazing bars. There are also sash windows on the right return of the building.
