Description
The Jolly Weaver Public House is a public house that dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick with a stucco front and features a Welsh slate roof, brick end stacks, and stone coping on the right side. The building has three storeys and a three-window range, with a two-storey extension on the right.
The central entrance is framed by keystoned voussoirs and has an overlight above a panelled door. To the left of the entrance is a sash window with glazing bars, measuring four panes in width, also featuring keystoned voussoirs. The bay window on the right has 20th-century sashes with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars and keystoned voussoirs, all set on stone sills. The second floor also has three sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills, although the central window is blocked. The building is accented with rusticated quoins.
The extension on the right includes a carriage entrance with plank doors and a windowless first floor above. The hipped extension at the far right has a long, narrow window on the ground floor and a wide sash window on the first floor. Inside, the ground floor has been remodelled in the 20th century, and some timbers have been reused.
