Description
H.M. Customs and Excise is a house that has been converted into offices, likely built in the 18th century and remodeled in the early 19th century. It features a colourwashed stucco exterior and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The central entrance is adorned with stone pilaster surrounds and a six-panelled door topped with a fanlight. On either side of the entrance are canted bay windows. The first floor has two sash windows with glazing bars and cornices supported by consoles, along with a central blocked window. The second floor contains two smaller sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills, as well as a central blocked window. Central pilasters flank the blocked windows on both the first and second floors. The building is finished with a flatband, parapet, and rusticated quoins. The interior was remodeled in the 20th century.
