Description

This is a house, built around 1840. It is located on the south side of Crouch Street in Banbury. The house is constructed of brick with a plastered exterior, topped with a slate roof and brick end stacks. It is three storeys high and arranged in an L-shape. The ground floor is rusticated. The side entrance features a pedimented stucco doorcase, a panelled door, and a fanlight above. The windows and door openings on the ground floor have semi-circular arched heads. The upper floors are rendered and contain sash windows with multi-pane glazing. A recessed balcony on the first floor is flanked by widely spaced Greek Doric columns. The interior has not been inspected. The building is of group value.
