Description

Woodbine is a large detached villa, built around 1840, now divided into flats. It has three storeys and is constructed of rough coursed stone with dressed quoins. The front features four windows, three of which are in an elliptical bow that extends through all three storeys. There are recessed bays on either side, with the southern bay being two storeys high and topped with a cornice and parapet, containing one window. The roof is a low pitch hipped slate design, with projecting eaves and a conical shape over the bow. The windows are recessed sash types, with intact glazing bars above the ground floor. The building has dressed stone surrounds and a string course at the second floor level. Originally, there was a balcony on the first floor, but this has since been removed. To the north, there is a plain square stucco building that was once separate but is now part of Woodbine.
