Description
No. 25 Dover Street is a building dating from around 1840. It has two storeys and a basement, constructed from stone rubble that mimics brickwork. The building features rusticated yellow brick quoins at the basement and ground floor, with yellow brick pilaster strips on either side of the first floor. The windows are recessed sash types with intact glazing bars on the first floor and in the basement, framed by rusticated yellow brick surrounds and segmental arches, with block sills. There is an enclosed Doric pilastered porch that includes a frieze, cornice, and blocking course, with modern double doors and a rectangular fanlight. Access to the entrance is via a flight of six steps, which has a modern brick parapet.
