Description
No 1 Trinity Street is a villa built around 1830-1840, located facing Melville Street and next to Nos 25-26 Melville Street to the west. The building is two storeys high and has a rendered, painted exterior with flanking pilaster strips and a band between the storeys. It features a low-pitched hipped slate roof with wide eaves and a frieze below.
On the Melville Street side, there are three recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars and block sills on the ground floor. The entrance is located on the side facing Trinity Street and is connected to a garden wall door by a conservatory. This side also has a band between the storeys and one window. The northern facade, facing Bellevue Road, is similarly flanked by pilaster strips and has three windows, with two in a bow shape to the west. The ground floor includes original French windows, and all glazing bars remain intact.
This villa is part of a group with Nos 25 to 28 Melville Street.
