Description

38 Melville Street is a small villa built around 1840. It is two storeys high and has a stucco façade. The roof is low-pitched and hipped, covered with slate, and features projecting eaves. To the west, there is a gabled bay. The main block has three recessed windows, which are sash with intact glazing bars and block sills. The gabled bay includes a bay window with three lights, which are sash with later glazing bars, along with plain strips, a frieze, a cornice, and a stepped apron. The central entrance features a recessed panelled and glazed door with splayed reveals. Nos 35 to 39 Melville Street form a group with this property.
