Description
No 2 Belvedere Street is a building dating from around 1830, with later extensions added to the south. It is two storeys high and has a rough cast exterior. The garden front, which faces north, features a rendered plinth and corner pilaster strips. There are three windows on this front, two of which are in a bow shape with a cornice and blocking course. The windows are recessed sash types with glazing bars. On the ground floor of the bow, there are French windows with marginal glazing, along with a two-light casement window, also with marginal glazing, located on the west side. The windows have block sills and flat rendered arches.
On the west entrance front, there is one window with glazing bars on the first floor, while the ground floor has a modern glazed porch and doors, along with a two-light casement window that also features glazing bars. The south front has four sash windows with intact glazing bars, and the ground floor includes a three-light bay window with sashes that do not have glazing bars. The cornice is hidden by fretted blind cases, and there are superimposed bay windows in the same style, along with a later projecting rectangular bay that contains two sash windows without glazing bars, topped with a lead hood. There is also a recessed modern door nearby, which has a lead hood and fretted eaves similar to the blind cases. The building is topped with low pitch hipped slate roofs and shallow eaves cornices.
