Description
25-27 Charles Street is a group of terraced houses built around 1753. They are constructed of brown brick with slate roofs and rise four storeys, featuring basements and dormered mansards. Each house has a front that is three windows wide. Number 25 has a stone architraved doorcase with an open pediment and a mutule cornice on the right side. Numbers 26 and 27 have doorways on the right and left, respectively, each with cornices supported by consoles over stone architraved cases. The windows are revealed sash types without glazing bars, set under flat gauged arches. The ground floor of Number 27 is finished in stucco. There is a continuous bracketed cornice above the second floor and a parapet with coping. Additionally, cast iron area railings are present.
