Description

12 and 14 Mount Row is a mews residence built in 1927 by T P Bennett. The building is constructed of red brick with rusticated quoins and features a tiled roof. It is designed in the style of around 1700 and was originally named Wren House. The structure has three storeys and is five windows wide.

On the ground floor, there are three double garage doors with early 18th-century style grilles, along with single doorways on the left and right that lead to the upper floors, designed in a similar style. The first floor features narrow, tall sash windows that are segmental arched with mask keystones. The second floor includes oeil-de-boeuf windows with cut brick swags beneath a boldly bracketed eaves cornice.

Inside, the building has what appears to be genuine reset early 18th-century panelling, doors, and early 18th-century style plaster dentil friezes, as well as a pastiche quattrocento ceiling.
