Description
No. 52 Grosvenor Street is a terrace house built between 1724 and 1726, which was refronted in 1854-1855 by Thomas Cundy II. The building is constructed of red brick with a slate roof and has four storeys plus a basement. It features a five-window front flanked by giant pilasters on either side. The ground floor is stuccoed with banded rustication and includes a balustraded Doric porch on the left. The first-floor windows are pedimented and have a balustraded balcony. A bracketed cornice and a crowning balustrade complete the exterior. The interior, primarily designed in the Louis XV style between 1902 and 1904, has undergone some alterations.
