Description
No. 50 Grosvenor Street is a terrace house built in 1724, with some early 19th-century alterations. It features a painted brick exterior and a slate roof. The building has four storeys, a basement, and a mansard roof with dormers. There are giant pilasters on either side of the four-window front. To the left, there is an enclosed Ionic columned porch from 1907 with curved sides. The windows are revealed sashes set under flat gauged arches, with those on the third floor retaining their original glazing bars. A geometric cast iron continuous balcony is present on the first floor. The building has plat bands on the first and second floors, as well as a main cornice at the third floor level, topped by a parapet with coping. The area is enclosed by railings with urn finials.
