Description

71 The Mount is a house, now used as offices, built around 1830 and altered in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys high with an attic and features two bays. The upper storey windows are glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick flat arches. The attic includes two 20th-century flat-roofed dormers. On the ground floor, there is a timber shopfront that was renewed in the 19th century and altered in the 20th century. This shopfront has pilasters on both sides and end brackets that support a continuous cornice. There are recessed doorways on the left side. The building also has a mutuled timber gutter cornice and shared ridge chimneys on the left and right. The interior has not been inspected.
