Description
No. 90 The Mount is a house, now used as offices, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building stands three storeys above cellars and features four bays, although there are only three windows on the second floor. The facade includes a plinth, a storey band above the ground floor, and sill bands for the first and second floor windows, along with a modillioned gutter cornice. The windows are predominantly sashed with glazing bars, except for the third and fourth bays on the ground and first floors, which are also sashed. The left-hand bay has a cellar opening with a segmental head. The door, located in the second bay, has a wide outer opening framed by a Tuscan pilaster doorcase that features a triglyph frieze and a mutulated cornice. The inner door opening is recessed, with pilaster reveals, a moulded semicircular head, a fanlight, and a four-panel door. There are chimneys near the centre of the ridge, on the right-hand gable, and shared on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
