Description
No. 27, Dorset Street is a terraced house dating from circa 1800 to 1820, built as part of the Gloucester Place development. The exterior is painted brick above a channelled stucco ground floor, with a concealed slate roof. The house has four storeys and a basement, and is two windows wide. A semicircular arched doorway is situated to the right, framed by an architrave, with a panelled door and fanlight above. The windows are recessed sash windows, set within architrave surrounds. A stringcourse defines the end of the ground floor stucco. A stucco cornice and blocking course adorn the top of the facade. The property has cast iron area railings with spearhead finials. It is included on the heritage register for its group value.
