Description
No. 26 Dorset Street is a terraced house built around 1800 to 1820, part of the Gloucester Place development. It features stock brick construction with a stuccoed ground floor and has a concealed slate roof. The building stands four storeys tall with a basement and is two windows wide. To the right, there is a semicircular arched doorway with a panelled door that has a reeded head and a fanlight above. The windows are recessed sashes, set under flat and segmental gauged arches. A plat band runs above the ground floor, and there is a crowning stucco cornice with a blocking course. The first-floor windows have original wrought iron balconettes, and the property is enclosed by cast iron area railings topped with urn finials. This listing is included for its group value only.
