Description
A row of houses at 14-26 Gloucester Terrace, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with the roofline obscured. They extend to four storeys and incorporate a basement. Each house has two windows in width. The ground floor features channelled decoration. Pilastered porches in the Doric style, with a triglyph frieze, are present and extend across the ground floor. A continuous, curved (bombe) balcony runs along the first floor. The windows are square-headed, with architraves above the ground floor and cornices to the first floor. They contain sash windows with glazing bars. A stucco band is positioned above the second floor. The cornice above the third floor is notably mutilated. Cast iron area railings are also present. The houses are included in the register primarily for their group value.
