Description
No. 8 Westbourne Crescent is a circa 1840 terraced house, built of stucco. It is part of a cohesive group with Nos 2 to 7 on the crescent. The house has four storeys, an attic, and a basement. The central three bays feature full-height, three-quarter convex bay windows, while the corners have similar windows. The ground floor is channelled. A central projecting porch, fluted in the Doric style and adorned with a triglyph frieze, spans the entire width of the ground floor and contains panelled doors. A continuous balcony runs along the first floor. The windows are square-headed, with architraves over the ground floor and cornices to the first floor, and contain small panes with glazing bars. French casements are present on the first floor.
