Description
The Mitre Public House is a mid-19th century public house located on a corner site at Craven Terrace in the City of Westminster. It features a stucco exterior and is three storeys tall with an attic. The building has four windows facing Craven Terrace and a pilastered pub front on the ground floor, which includes arches supported by narrow twisted shafts and oculi in the spandrels. The entrance is located at the curved corner, with an additional doorway to the right. The first and second floors have square-headed windows, with architraves above the ground floor and segmental pediments on the first floor, corniced on the second floor. The windows are sashes with plate glass. Above the second floor, there is a modillion cornice, and the attic has arched windows along with a subsidiary cornice and parapet. Urns are placed on pedestals between the first floor windows, and there is a prominent corniced stack on the left side of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
