Description
No. 5 Craven Hill is a detached villa dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with stucco dressings and a slate mansard roof. The building is two storeys high and features a two-storey extension to the left. The ground floor is recessed beneath a projecting balcony, stuccoed and supported by Ionic columns. A projecting central porch has pilastered sides. A stucco balustrade runs along the first-floor balcony. The windows are wide and square-headed, with architraves to the first floor; pilasters are placed between the bays, and the windows are ranked below a cornice and pediment. The sashes have glazing bars, which are likely 20th century replacements.
