Description

The monument to Reginald Brabacon, 12th Earl of Meath, is located in Lancaster Gate, Westminster and dates from around 1930. It is made of Portland stone and features steps leading up to a tall pedestal. The pedestal has an inset portrait relief and a domed top in the Soanesque style, which is topped by a statue of a nude seated boy. The monument includes an inscription dedicating it to Reginald Brabacon, who was a patriot and philanthropist, and notes his life span from 1841 to 1929.
