Description

This wall, railings, and gateway date from 1897-98 and were designed by P.A. Robson for St George’s School. The wall is constructed of red brick with stone dressings, exhibiting Arts and Crafts detailing. It runs between domical stone-capped piers, with iron railings extending on either side of a central Tudor arched stone doorway. The doorway surround curves up into the parapet coping. The wall is swept and has a stone cope. This feature forms a boundary to a playground or forecourt.
