Description

There are two ornamental cisterns located in St George's Gardens, one in the south-west corner and the other at the east end. Both cisterns are inscribed with "T.F. 1728". These decorative lead water cisterns were likely removed from the area or garden of an early Grosvenor Estate house, similar to those still found in the basement of Colen Campbell's house at No. 76 Brook Street.
